This site is a tribute to John. He is much loved by so many people and will always be remembered.

Once you met John, you were very unlikely to forget him. He was a kind, generous, stubborn and funny man who was a very good photographer. He was particularly interested in London buses. He drove them in the 1970s and 1980s and had many amusing stories to tell about his time on London Transport. He also had quite a large model bus collection.

John was known for telling puns. He knew that most of them were terrible, but he just loved to see people's reactions to them!

John was the sort of person who would do anything for anyone and felt far more comfortable giving than receiving. He was very loyal to the people he cared about.

He was very definite that he didn't want a funeral with a service, but there will be a get together of his friends and family when it is safe to do so.  

John was an amazing photographer, who loved it when people enjoyed his pictures. I'm maintaining his online photo presence in his memory.
